SEVEN NIGHTS IN DONEGAL, IRELAND
Saturday, Day 1. Arrive in Belfast. Drive to the Giant's Causeway and enjoy lunch the Causeway center after soaking in this magificient landscape. Continue on to County Donegal and our cottage. Stop at a grocery store before arriving at our cottage in Mountcharles. Marc will make you dinner then sing you music to welcome you to Ireland.
Sunday, Day 2. Enjoy a guided tour of Donegal with a local guide Derek Vial of Tour Donegal, Explore the Maghera Sea Caves. Visit Glencolmcille Folk Village. Visit Clowden More, a 6000 year old tomb. End the day with dinner at Nancy's Bar in Ardara before heading back to the cottage for music by Marc.
Monday, Day 3. Experience Slieve League by boat with Paddy Byrne on his Sliabh Liag Boat Tours. Stop at a local pub for some food before driving St Johns Point and a magnificent walk on this lighthouse peninsula. Finish the evening with music by Fidil at our cottage and dinner by Marc.
Tuesday, Day 4. Explore Donegal Castle, then enjoy a leisurely stroll through Donegal Town and the Folk Village. Then drive South towards Bundoran to walk across the Fairy Bridge and talk with the fae on the Wishing Chair as you soak in the incredible vista. Drive back to Dunkineely to enjoy live music by Marc Gunn at McIntyre's Pub before enjoying an wonderful dinner Kitty Kelly's.
Wednesday, Day 5. Drive to Northern Donegal to Glenveagh National Park. We'll tour the castle and the beautiful gardens before rounding the coast visitin Doe castle, Errigal, and Horn Head. Enjoy dinner at Leo's Tavern, owned by the Brennan family most famous for Clannad, Moya Brennan and Enya. Enjoy live traditional Irish music session at McIntyre's in Dunkineely.
Thursday, Day 6. We saw Slieve League by water. Now lets see how impressive the highest cliffs in Ireland actually are. Then we'll head back to our cottage for some downtime and to visit the nearby Salthill Gardens before we enjoy a fancy dinner at Castle Murray Restaurant and one final concert by Marc Gunn.
Friday, Day 7. Leave our trusty cottage and drive back towards Northern Ireland. We'll stop at the Grianan Ring Fort on the way before heading to Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Enjoy a tour of the Bushmills Distillery and a visit to Dunluce Castle. Then head to the Hedges Hotel for a nice dinner and walk through The Dark Hedges, which were featured on Game of Thrones.
Saturday, Day 8. Our journey is done. We'll head to our various departure points with fond memories of Ireland.
